Privacy Statement

Scope and Purpose

Federal-Mogul Corporation uses the following criteria to rate the performance of our suppliers for all Federal-Mogul manufacturing and distribution facilities.

This statement applies to how Federal-Mogul Corporation and Federal Mogul Motorparts Corporation (collectively, “FM”) process personal data and personal information of our employees and, where applicable, our customers.  All supervisors are responsible for enforcing this statement and our employees are trained to be familiar with and comply with FM’s relevant procedures. 

The purpose of this statement is to inform employees, customers and suppliers of the principles under which FM processes personal data and personal information. 

FM is a privacy-conscious organization and is committed to your personal right to privacy.  We only collect personal information that is specifically and voluntarily provided to us.  Individuals and organizations may choose to provide information to FM for a number of reasons, including to order goods, to apply for a job, or to participate in a promotion or contest.  When we receive identifiable information we use it solely for the purpose for which it was provided and secure the information as required by law. This statement will apply unless superseded by applicable national, country, federal, state or local law in the particular jurisdiction.


When visitors, employees, suppliers, investors visit our websites and other social media platforms, including those participating in contests or promotions, choose to provide us with a name, e-mail address, or other information:

FM will use your information solely for the purpose for which it was provided.

We will not give your personally identifiable information to advertisers.
- We will not sell or rent your private information to third parties. 


In processing personal data, FM complies with the following principles.  Adherence to the principles may be limited to the extent FM determines necessary to meet national security, public interest, law enforcement and other legal requirements and obligations. 

Choice: Where required by local regulation, FM will offer individuals the opportunity to choose (opt-out) whether their personal information is allowed (a) to be disclosed to a third party, or (b) to be used for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual.

Data Integrity:
 FM will use personal information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual.

Onward Transfers:
 FM may transfer information to a third party acting as an agent or business partner of FM by making sure that the third party commits to provide similar protection as FM. FM remains responsible for the safety of the information that it transfers.

Occasionally, FM may also be required to disclose certain personal data to other third parties as a matter of law; to protect FM’s legal rights; or in an emergency where health or security of an individual is endangered. 
Access: Federal-Mogul will provide individuals with reasonable access to personal information that it holds about them and the reasonable ability to correct, amend, or delete that information where it is inaccurate or incomplete.

 FM will take reasonable precautions to protect personal information in its possession from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Dispute Resolution:
 Any questions or concerns regarding the use or disclosure of personal information should be directed to FM at the address given below. FM will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding the use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the principles contained in this statement.  An individual has the possibility, under certain conditions, to invoke binding arbitration for complaints regarding Privacy Shield mechanisms, for additional information:

Federal-Mogul Corporation has further committed to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints.  If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please contact the EU DPAs for more information or to file a complaint.  The services of EU D\PAs are provided at no cost to you.

FM is subject to the jurisdiction, including the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission.  In addition, Federal-Mogul Corporation complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States. Federal-Mogul Corporation has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy statement and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.
