Fel-Pro offers two types of timing cover gasket sets to solve the oil leaks sometimes associated with timing cover gaskets. One set includes a Sleeve ’N’ Seal®, which is a crankshaft front repair sleeve for a hub or shaft that is grooved. Fel-Pro also offers timing cover gasket sets without the repair sleeve for a simple replacement of the seal and related gaskets. Both sets include all the gaskets needed to remove and replace the timing cover.

Timing cover gaskets are made of a variety of materials. In many older vehicles, they were made of rubber or fiber. Late-model vehicles typically have molded-rubber gaskets that have a thicker design to accommodate changes in timing cover castings. Today’s engines may have timing covers made of metal or plastic.
