The new Payen liquid elastomer molded (LEM) gasket technology has proven to be a highly successful sealing technology in a wide variety of engines and applications.
LEM consists of an aluminum or steel core with a thin elastomeric coating into which three-dimensional sealing elements are formed. This results in:
- A base elastomer coating that provides a good overall microseal
- Optimum sealing in critical areas with silicone beads
- Extremely high tolerance to variations in surface finish
- Functionality beyond traditional materials
