Spark Plug Testing

Champion’s European Technical Centre (ETC) is Europe’s leading location for testing OE spark plug capabilities. This facility houses specialised testing technology, including:

• Engine endurance test cells
• Full-size cold chamber
• Rolling roads capable of simulating high speeds

Plugs are tested at the equivalent of 155 mph (250 km/h) for 360 hours.

Glow Plug Testing

Champion glow plugs are put through the most rigorous of testing conditions at its state-of-the-art facility in Capri, Italy. Testing procedures include:

• Full mathematical modeling
• Endurance testing at speed
• Cold-fouling testing
• Extreme temperature testing

Testing Wiper Blades

Champion wipers are subjected to extreme testing at the Technical Centre for European Wiper Products. We use wind-tunnel testing procedures to test wind-lift performance. We also test impact load 200,000 times, and test corrosion resistance by immersing blades in a corrosive salt spray tank for 240 hours.
