Design Enhancements That Optimize Performance

For more than 100 years, Champion has been a world leader in the manufacture of spark plugs for every kind of combustion engine. This experience has led to design enhancements that optimize the performance of every Champion spark plug. Champion’s “Performance Driven™” approach helps power every kind of engine, from lawn mowers to Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s Number 8 NEXTEL® Cup Chevrolet.

Champion provides a resistor plug for almost all automotive applications, while nonresistor types are available for power equipment where specified. Many Champion plugs have electrodes that use an exclusive Heat-Active™ alloy that provides maximum heat dissipation and conductivity to reach operating temperatures quickly and maintain stable operating temperatures under varying engine loads.
