Motorsports
A Record of Achievement

Superior braking power is, without doubt, the key to high-speed driving and winning performance. Ferodo braking products are chosen by champions in WRC (World Rally Championship) series, endurance racing, rallying, saloon touring cars and other circuit racing, such as Formula BMW. The Ferodo name is synonymous with success and has been in the forefront of motorsports for more than 80 years. No other component manufacturer can claim such a comprehensive record of achievement in the racing world.

In 1998, Federal-Mogul established a special team at the Federal-Mogul Friction Facility in Mondovi, Italy, dedicated solely to the development, sales and marketing of new racing and other high-performance car, kart and motorcycle pads. Specialists in racing formulation, working in our prototype plant, develop new materials. Production takes place within the plant in a specialized racing cell, and we subject our brake products to the tightest quality checks.

Of course, no amount of research testing can substitute for live circuit and field trials. We subject Ferodo products to our own exacting test-track procedures and then send them to manufacturers of brake systems and vehicles and, most importantly, to leading motorsports competitors. We work closely with many of the world’s leading drivers, and rely on their expert feedback to refine Ferodo products until they meet the driver’s demanding requirements for winning performance in every extreme.
