A Range of Materials and Designs to Meet Your Needs
Products Overview
Press-in-Place (PIP) molded gasket

Press-in-Place (PIP)

PIP is an all-elastomer molded gasket pressed into a housing groove.

Features and benefits include:

  • Highest compensation for joint tolerances
  • Noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) isolation systems
  • Dedicated high-performance compounds to seal fluids

Edge-Molded

Edge-molded gaskets are stamped aluminum or steel carriers with elastomer bonded to the sealing edge.

Features and benefits:

  • Carrier serves as a compression limiter.
  • Sealing bead compensates for large tolerances.
  • Elastomeric compounds are available to seal various fluids in engines.
  • Easy assembly and handling
  • Can seal multiple fluids by molding dual-elastomer compounds to one carrier

Encapsulated

Encapsulated carrier gaskets feature a steel frame that is fully encapsulated with molded rubber.

Features and benefits include:

  • Metal support for mounting
  • Sealing bead that compensates for large tolerances
  • Permits NVH isolation
  • Carrier enables easy installation.
  • Wide variety of elastomers available to meet application needs

Liquid Elastomer Molding (LEM)

LEM gaskets consist of elastomer bead profiles molded to a base carrier material. These gaskets offer a number of advantages:

  • Ability to seal on narrow flanges
  • Topographical beads accommodate flange distortion.
  • Features include partial coating, high-pressure sealing and engineered T-joint solutions.
  • Excellent capability to seal porous flanges

Fiber Composite

Fiber composite gaskets are cut to shape from a sheet or roll.

Features and benefits include:

  • Choice of materials based on temperature, pressure and fluid environments
  • Can serve a range of basic applications
