Federal-Mogul’s 5*Gold™ PTFE wheel end seals utilize chemical-resistant, durable polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) on the main sealing lip with sufficient contact area to accommodate wheel end movement. This modern technology meets the increasing demands of today’s heavy-duty axle applications.

The seals provide:

  • A high level of chemical resistance
  • Long-life seal performance
  • Effective dirt exclusion to protect against damaging contaminants

PTFE sealing technologies will operate at temperatures from -40° C to in excess of 200° C. They deliver superior performance levels with modern synthetic lubricants.
