Brushless

Federal-Mogul utilizes brushless motor technology to increase the reliability of the motors that are used as the drive mechanism for the fuel pumps. Electronic controls are more reliable than carbon brush and commutator systems because electronic controls provide contact-free commutation.

  • Can be packaged into many orientations: in-tank, inline, integrated into filter assemblies
  • Pump designs include: gerotor, rotary vane, roller vane, turbine and impeller.


 Brush Type

Federal-Mogul’s brush-type fuel pumps are your choice for a variety of applications. Features and benefits of the commutator type include:

  • An electrical fuel pump that offers the flexibility for location anywhere within the system. This does not require the mechanical actuation from the engine components.
  • An electrical pump that can be used to lift fuel from the tank on a continuous-duty basis and to provide positive pressure to the fuel injection system or high-pressure pump (diesel applications)
  • An electrical pump that can be used as a priming pump where it shuts off after a few minutes of run time. Priming pumps are very beneficial for replenishing the fuel system after filter changes or in cold conditions. 
  • Can be packaged into many orientations: in-tank, inline, integrated into filter assemblies
  • Pump designs include: gerotor, rotary vane, roller vane, turbine and impeller.


 Solenoid

Federal-Mogul offers a complete line of electrical fuel pumps. The benefits of solenoid pumps are:

  • Small in size with maximized design that provides a low-cost option for pumping fuel from the tank to the engine
  • Universal styling that fits many different vehicle applications
