William (Steve) Bowers
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

William (Steve) Bowers is senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, a member of the Strategy Board and an officer of Federal-Mogul Corporation.

Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Bowers spent nearly 30 years at General Motors Corp. and Delphi Corp., most recently as executive director of sales, marketing and planning for the energy and chassis division. Previously, he was based in Tokyo, Japan, as the Asia-Pacific regional director for Delphi’s energy and chassis systems. He was responsible for all aspects of the business for the China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia and Saudi Arabia markets, including manufacturing operations, customer service and engineering centers.

Prior to that, he worked as chief engineer and spent four years as technical director for Delphi’s European Technical Center. Bowers’ early career included positions such as engineering group manager, divisional program manager, powertrain systems development engineer, and control systems engineer at General Motors Corp.

Bowers earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. He is the recipient of U.S. and European patents.
